What we collect

Information we collect

We collect nothing directly. This site has no contact form, no account, no shopping cart, and no comments. We do not ask you for your name, email address, or any other personal information, and there is nothing here for you to submit.
Two things happen automatically whenever any website is loaded, and they happen here too:
Server logs. Our web server records the request: IP address, date and time, the page requested, the referring page, and your browser's user-agent string. These logs are used to keep the site running and secure, and they are not combined with anything else or used to build a profile of you.
Security and delivery data. Our content delivery network processes the same connection information to filter malicious traffic and serve pages quickly.

Cookies this site sets

We set no advertising, analytics, or preference cookies of our own. The cookies below are the ones actually placed when you load a page:
__cf_bm — set by Cloudflare to tell human visitors from bots. Expires 30 minutes after the last request.
cf_clearance — set by Cloudflare when a security challenge is passed, so the challenge is not repeated on every page.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site works without them, though a security challenge may be shown more often.

Who else receives data when a page loads

Loading any page necessarily discloses your IP address and browser details to the services that deliver it. For this site those are:
Cloudflare — content delivery and security. It processes the connection data described above on our behalf.
We do not sell or share personal information, and we run no advertising or cross-site tracking technology.
Your choices

Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control

This site does not track visitors across other websites, so there is nothing for a Do Not Track (DNT) or Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal to switch off. We honor those signals by never starting cross-site tracking in the first place.
Children

Children under 13

This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Your rights

Access and deletion requests

Ohio Small Business Development Center at Ashland University does not meet the revenue or volume thresholds that make the state comprehensive privacy laws apply to it, and it holds no personal information about site visitors beyond the server logs described above. Even so, if you would like to know what we hold about you, or to ask us to delete it, write to us at the contact address above and we will respond.
Changes

Effective date and updates

This policy is effective 2026-09-05. If we change what the site collects — for example by adding a form, analytics, or an embedded video — we will update this page and change the effective date before the change goes live.
